This Privacy Policy explains how RankGemini ("RankGemini," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use rankgemini.com and our AI visibility scanning service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account we store your email address, your name (if provided), and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Scan data and reports. When you run a scan we store the website URL, brand name, the resulting score and grade, and the full report we generate. These reports are saved to your account so you can revisit them, track changes over time, and re-scan or compare. Reports are stored on our servers until you delete them.
  • AI chat messages. If you use the AI chat about a report, your messages and our responses are stored so the conversation persists.
  • Technical and usage data. To prevent abuse of free scans, we log the IP address and the domain scanned for anonymous and free-tier scans. We also use cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in).
  • Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and a Stripe customer/subscription identifier, but we never receive or store your full card details.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site.

How we use your information

  • To provide the Service — running scans, generating reports, and saving your history.
  • To operate your account, process payments, and manage subscriptions.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse (for example, rate-limiting free scans).
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and support requests.

Third parties we share data with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run RankGemini:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Google (Gemini) and other AI/search providers — the URL and brand you scan are sent to these providers to generate your report and power AI chat.
  • Google Analytics — aggregate site analytics.
  • Our email provider — to send transactional email (password resets, support replies).

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and deletion

  • Reports are kept until you delete them. You can permanently delete any report from your dashboard at any time, which also deletes its chat messages.
  • You may request deletion of your entire account and associated data by contacting us (see below).
  • Free-scan abuse logs (IP + domain) are retained only as long as needed for abuse prevention.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@rankgemini.com or via our contact page.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including hashing passwords and processing payments through Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
